How long do you think it will take the MLS to be at the same level of the premier leagues (Spain, England, etc).
Eventually the US will produce (already have a few) top rated players that can excel in the premireship. I would assume that since they are from this country they would make there money in Europe and come back to the US. Eventually they will come back in their prime to contribute.
I think this will attract more overseas players. MLS is not far off from being considered a top level league. I do not think anyone can dispute the fact that they are close to it now.
Premiership teams would not travel to this country during there preseason to play subpar opponents. They can get that from there own sub leagues.
MLS is on the rise and I love it. 10 years ago I was embarrased by the level of play. Now I tune it all the time.
I appreciate all the view points. As both leagues differ dramatically they both offer different styles. I truly believe that the premiership is a top heavy league; Spain, Italy, and england. Take Dallas, DC or New England and they would finish bottom of the pack, not relegated. The top teams are actually destroying the competition. Soon these leagues will have to adopt a salary cap, the money does not grow on trees.
With that being said, the leagues will eventually become even. Whether that is 10 or 20 years.
Thank you all for your responses. But we will never know until there is a world wide tournament. World cup does not count because a premier league team is always going to be better.

My partner is a listed NY real-estate agent who is not practicing for the past 10 years. We are working on some properties in NY and so looking for sharing MLS listings with others for a fee. My question is it possible? And is it legal to do this?

My favorite sport in the world is soccer/football, i love watching, playing, breathing the sport. I have a true passion for the game, and to me its insulting to see played on a stupid american football field. So does anyone know when all teams in MLS will have a real soccer stadium?

I'm doing research for someone who is trying to figure out why it makes sense to list a home in the MLS for a different city or county when the home is not in that location. For example, a home in San Francisco would be listed in the Oakland MLS. If the person was looking for a home in SF, wouldn't they just go to the SF MLS? If there was a home listed in the Oakland MLS I would expect that home to be located in the city of Oakland. Can someone explain this to me?
